What’s in the candle subscription box…
Each box features a large jar candle. The candle burns for approximately 60 hours. Made using soy wax, our candles burn cleaner and for longer. Just don’t forget to trim your wick. You can see here for more candle care tips and why we choose to use soy wax. Each month you get to experience a brand new fragrance that is a surprise until you open the box.
Individually hand poured in our workshop that overlooks the entrance to Stornoway harbour. With views of the Arnish lighthouse and even the mountains on mainland Scotland on a clear day. We even get to watch the Loch Seaforth ferry come in and out each day.
Each box comes with a note describing the fragrance and a wee extra. Keep reading to find out why the wee extra is important to me.

After people were asking if these fragrances also came in wax melts we started a wax melt subscription box so you wouldn’t miss out. For £10 a month you will receive a pack of wax melts, 6 natural soy wax tealights and a sample of another fragrance – usually from the Sandwick Bay candles fragrance list. Collaboration over competition
In the candle subscription box you will receive a wee extra. We try and match this to the fragrance but more importantly it supports another small business. I have become friends with a lot of these small businesses because we share the same values and passion. We understand the hard work that goes into making these products and that each sale means so much to us and our family. To me competition is more about self improvement than climbing over others. And collaboration is about adding diversity to our way of thinking. It is a time to connect and collaborate, to support and strive for better relationships in both life and business. We are always looking for the next business to feature in our box so if you know of someone then get in touch here. Sometimes the fragrance is chosen because of the extra that can go with it.
Delivery day each month is on the 4th
Unless it is a Sunday, then you will have to wait another day. The boxes are sent with our fabulous postpeople at the Royal Mail. Those living locally in the Stornoway area will have their subscription box hand delivered. I genuinely love seeing the excitement on your face when you know it’s ‘that time of the month’.

The definition of treat yourself: to partake in an activity which no matter how detrimental to your health allows you to enjoy yourself as much as possible. You can sign up to receive the subscription monthly, every other month or even quarterly here at no risk to your health!
The monthly box is £24 per month which is billed on the 1st of each month. You can buy a one off gift box or sign up for a 3, 6 or 12 month box – this is a one time payment. You get more savings for the 12 month subscription. We have gift cards that we can send to you or directly to the recipient.
